This silica sol has core competitive advantages including low VOC, environmental protection, excellent thickening efficiency, strong substrate adhesion and good weather resistance. It can improve the thixotropy of water-based coatings, preventing sagging during construction, and improve the adhesion between the coating and the substrate, reducing the risk of coating peeling. It has excellent weather resistance, withstanding more than 5000 hours of artificial accelerated aging.
Key technical parameters include SiO2 content of 35±0.5 wt%, particle size ranging from 10 to 25 nm, viscosity of 6-18 mPa·s, pH value between 8.0 and 9.5, thickening efficiency improved by more than 300%, weather resistance of ≥5000 h through artificial accelerated aging testing, substrate adhesion of ≥5 grade according to GB/T 9286, shelf life of 18 months, appearance as milky white semi-transparent liquid, and VOC content ≤50 g/L in line with national environmental protection standards.
