Post RFQ
This guardrail features a Thrie-Beam design with three parallel corrugations, which distributes impact energy more evenly than standard W-Beam guardrails, reducing the risk of panel deformation or structural failure. The Q345 high-strength steel material offers 20% higher tensile strength than Q235 carbon steel, making it capable of withstanding extreme impact forces from heavy trucks and commercial vehicles. The 800g/m² hot-dip galvanized coating provides superior corrosion resistance, protecting against salt spray, humidity, and industrial pollutants common in bridge environments. Its energy-absorbing fishtail terminals use a crushable tube system to decelerate errant vehicles gradually, preventing sudden stops that cause severe injuries. Reinforced brackets and high-tensile bolts ensure the guardrail is securely attached to bridge decks, eliminating the risk of detachment during impacts. Additionally, it meets ASTM A709 standards for structural steel used in bridges, ensuring compliance with strict transportation infrastructure regulations.
Each unit includes one 4000mm long Thrie-Beam panel, two 2300mm tall steel posts, one energy-absorbing fishtail terminal, and reinforced mounting brackets. The Thrie-Beam panel measures 506mm in width, 310mm in total height, and 4.5mm in thickness, with a net weight of 138kg per panel. The steel posts are 150mm×150mm square tubes with a 5.0mm wall thickness, anchored to bridge decks via 20mm diameter expansion bolts for maximum stability. The galvanizing coating meets ASTM A123 standards, with a minimum zinc weight of 800g/m² to ensure long-term corrosion resistance. The energy-absorbing terminal features a 160mm diameter crushable tube, capable of absorbing up to 200kJ of impact energy. All components are tested to withstand lateral impact forces of up to 220kN, compliant with AASHTO M180 Level 4 crash protocols. Pre-fabricated brackets and aligned drill holes ensure precise installation on concrete or steel bridge decks.
This guardrail is exclusively engineered for bridge decks, overpasses, underpasses, and elevated road sections where vehicle falls or collisions with bridge piers pose catastrophic risks. Transportation authorities use it for new bridge construction projects, as well as retrofitting older bridges with outdated guardrails that do not meet current safety standards. It is also suitable for cable-stayed bridges, suspension bridges, and urban overpasses with heavy commercial traffic, including trucks and buses. In coastal regions, its heavy-duty galvanized coating resists salt spray corrosion, ensuring year-round performance. Additionally, it can be paired with reflective markers and LED warning lights to enhance visibility during nighttime or adverse weather conditions, further improving bridge safety. Specialized installation teams can adapt it to curved bridge sections using custom-bent panels, making it a versatile solution for complex bridge designs.
