This product uses a two-stage distillation combined with molecular sieve dehydration process to control moisture content to ≤0.005% and total metal impurities to ≤50 ppb, avoiding damage to the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) film of lithium-ion batteries and extending cycle life by up to 15%. It has a low viscosity of 0.58 mPa·s, improving the ionic conductivity of electrolyte solutions and enhancing low-temperature discharge performance of power batteries. Compared with diethyl carbonate, it has a 92% biodegradation rate, reducing factory VOC emissions by over 60%.

This lithium battery grade DMC is a colorless transparent liquid with 99.9% minimum purity, ≤0.005% moisture content, ≤0.05 mgKOH/g acid value, and 1.069 g/cm³ density at 20°C. Total metal impurities are controlled to below 50 ppb, meeting the strict requirements of lithium battery electrolyte manufacturing. Packaging uses 100KG sealed steel drums complying . It has a 24-month shelf life when stored in a cool, dry warehouse away from open flames and strong oxidizers.
It is primarily used as a co-solvent in lithium battery electrolytes, paired with ethylene carbonate and ethyl methyl carbonate to adjust the viscosity and dielectric constant of the electrolyte, improving the charging and discharging efficiency of power batteries. It also serves as a coating solvent for lithium battery electrodes, improving the uniformity and adhesion of electrode coatings. It serves lithium battery cell manufacturers, electrolyte processing plants, and new energy vehicle battery pack suppliers.
