Features
The luminaire uses special baffles and lenses to create a sharp"cutoff line,"where light is rapidly attenuated near the horizontal angle.Optional amber(PC-amber)or narrow-band LEDs can be specified;these spectrums tend to be less disruptive to astronomical observations and are more wildlife-friendly.Housing surfaces are dark and matte to reduce secondary reflections.Brightness is often dimmable, with further reduction possible late at night.
Specifications
Must comply with International Dark-Sky Association(IDA)or similar"Full Cutoff"certification standards. The Upward Light Ratio(ULR)requirement is 0%.CCT is typically limited to 3000K or below, with 2200K amber being recommended.Mounting height and spacing are carefully calculated based on the minimum safety requirements, not high brightness.

Applications
Installed within controlled zones(several to tens of kilometers)around astronomical observation facilities. Also used for access roads in"Dark Sky Communities"or national parks that promote astro-tourism.Here,lighting is not for display but to humbly serve basic safety guidance while receding into the background, giving way to the stars.
