This cosmetic grade stearic acid has good compatibility with most daily chemical raw materials, can be uniformly dispersed in water-based and oil-based systems, and can effectively improve the consistency and stability of products. It can reduce the viscosity of soap base, improve the lathering performance and skin feel of cleansers, and enhance the moisturizing effect of creams and lipsticks. The controlled iodine value ensures long-term storage stability without discoloration or odor generation, meeting the quality requirements of daily chemical products for raw materials.
It appears as white or slightly yellow flaky solid, with a slight fatty odor, insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether and other organic solvents. The free fatty acid content is ≥90.0%, the content of palmitic acid is ≤8.0%, the melting point range is stable, and the volatile matter content is ≤0.5%. It does not contain harmful additives such as fluorescent agents, meeting the safety requirements of daily chemical raw materials for skin contact.
It is suitable for the production of various solid and liquid soaps, improving the lathering performance and hardness of soap; as a thickener and emulsifier for facial cleansers, shampoos and body washes, improving the product texture and stability; as a lubricant and thickener for creams, lotions and lipsticks, improving the skin feel and moisturizing effect; and as a raw material for laundry detergents and dishwashing liquids, enhancing the decontamination performance.
