The automatic self-cleaning filter is an intelligent,fully automated filtration device whose advantage is its ability to clean the filter screen automatically without interrupting system operation.The core filtering element is a high-strength stainless steel screen(e.g.,wedge-wire,laser-drilled screen).When the pressure differential across the screen reaches a preset value(or a timer triggers),the control system initiates a cleaning cycle:a drive motor moves a suction scanner or rotating brush along the inner screen surface,while a drain valve opens momentarily.Utilizing system pressure or a small amount of external flush water,the impurities adhering to the screen are thoroughly sucked away or scraped off and rapidly discharged from the system.The entire cleaning process takes only tens of seconds and consumes minimal water(typically less than 1%of total flow),achieving high efficiency,energy savings,and near-zero manual maintenance.Its"in-line cleaning"characteristic makes it particularly suitable for continuous processes,applications with fluctuating water quality,or high contaminant loads.

The single-unit treatment capacity of this equipment covers an extremely wide range,from tens to thousands of cubic meters per hour.The filtration rating,determined by the screen aperture,is typically selectable between 100 and 3000 microns.The control method is highly automated,supporting differential pressure control,time control,and manual control,with the capability to transmit operational status signals to a central control room.The drive motor is usually a low-power 24V DC or 220V AC motor.The housing material can be selected as carbon steel,304,or 316 stainless steel based on the application.The drain valve is mostly an electric or pneumatic ball valve for fast and reliable operation.Common pressure ratings for the equipment are 1.0,1.6,and 2.5 MPa to suit different system pressures.

The self-cleaning filter is an ideal choice for full-flow or side-stream filtration in industrial recirculating water systems(e.g.,cooling water,chilled water),effectively controlling turbidity and preventing scaling in heat exchangers and piping.In seawater desalination pretreatment,it removes larger suspended solids and marine organisms from seawater.In the steel industry,it filters high-pressure descaling water and continuous casting cooling water to protect nozzles and equipment.In power plants,it is used for pre-filtration in condensate polishing systems.Furthermore,it is widely applied in agricultural irrigation,landscape water filtration,white water recovery in paper mills,mining wastewater treatment,and any liquid filtration application requiring long-term continuous operation with minimal manual intervention.
