This guardrail’s technical highlights target bridge-specific safety challenges. Made from Q460 high-strength alloy steel with a tensile strength of up to 630MPa, 40% higher than standard steel, it meets AASHTO M180 Level 4 crash standards, capable of withstanding a 15-ton vehicle colliding at 70km/h without failure, preventing vehicles from falling off bridges. It has a Grade 12 wind resistance rating, withstanding winds of ≥32.7m/s to maintain stability on coastal cross-sea bridges and high-altitude mountain bridges. The dual anti-corrosion process—hot-dip galvanizing with ≥90μm coating plus fluorocarbon spraying with ≥70μm coating—provides salt spray test resistance of ≥1200 hours, ensuring no rusting for 35 years against coastal salt spray, mountain acid rain, and UV radiation. The welded + bolted hybrid connection firmly attaches the guardrail to the bridge concrete base, preventing displacement during collisions. A reserved anti-throw net interface allows optional installation of anti-throw nets to prevent debris from falling off bridges, addressing pain points of insufficient bridge guardrail strength, poor wind resistance, and weak corrosion resistance.
Optimized for bridge scenarios, technical parameters include: W-beam dimensions of 4000mm (length) × 310mm (width) × 1000mm (height) with a 5.0mm thickness; columns are 165mm (diameter) × 5.0mm (wall thickness) × 2500mm (total height), requiring an 800mm burial depth or welding to bridge bases; block-outs are 200mm × 220mm × 250mm × 5.0mm. Connection uses M20×50 high-strength galvanized bolts plus CO2 gas shielded welding. The Q460 steel has a yield strength of ≥460MPa and tensile strength of 630-730MPa. In crash tests, maximum deformation is ≤1500mm when hit by a 15-ton vehicle at 70km/h. Wind resistance tests show top displacement ≤50mm under 32.7m/s winds. The dual anti-corrosion system provides salt spray resistance of ≥1200 hours. The standard color is silver gray, with optional traffic yellow customization. Installation spacing is 2000mm for straight bridge sections. Total weight per meter, including columns, is approximately 92kg, with a load capacity of ≥15kN/m complying with GB 50009-2012 building structure load specifications.
This guardrail is suitable for highway bridges, urban viaducts, cross-sea bridge approach roads, mountain canyon bridges, tunnel entrance bridges, airport runway bridges, and port cargo bridges. In cross-sea coastal bridges, the dual anti-corrosion system resists salt spray erosion; in mountain canyon bridges, high crash strength prevents vehicles from falling off cliffs; in urban viaducts, the reserved anti-throw net interface allows installation of debris barriers to protect pedestrians below. It is also used in high-altitude wind farm peripheral bridges, where its Grade 12 wind resistance ensures stability in strong winds. Compliant with bridge load standards, it provides reliable safety protection for various bridge scenarios, reducing accident risks and property losses.
