High-Voltage Side
The high-voltage system of the intelligent integrated substation is generally protected by load switch-fuse combinations. When one phase of the fuses blows, the three-phase linked tripping is activated. The load switch is available in pneumatic, vacuum and SF₆ types, and can be equipped with a motor operating mechanism for automation upgrade. The fuses are high-voltage current-limiting fuses with strikers, featuring reliable operation and high breaking capacity. Their main technical parameters are shown in the table below. For transformers above 800 kVA, vacuum circuit breakers such as ZN12, ZN28 and VS1 can be used for protection.
Low-Voltage Side
The main low-voltage switch adopts air circuit breaker or intelligent circuit breaker to realize selective protection. The outgoing switches adopt new molded case switches with small size and short arc flash, supporting up to 30 circuits. The intelligent automatic tracking reactive power compensation device offers two switching modes: contactor and non-contact switching for user selection.

Detailed description of special environmental conditions for switchgear operation and other special requirements.
In addition to the various regulations specified by the power authority for the installation, acceptance, handover test, operation and maintenance of the intelligent integrated substation, attention shall be paid to the following items:
A. Upon receipt of the product, the user shall conduct a careful inspection in accordance with relevant regulations. For products not to be installed immediately, they shall be stored in a suitable place in compliance with normal operating conditions.
B. The product shall be lifted from the bottom using special lifting gear, as shown in Figure 3.
C. The product shall be placed horizontally on the prefabricated foundation. The gap between the base of the product and the foundation shall be sealed with cement mortar to prevent rainwater from entering the cable compartment. High-voltage and low-voltage cables shall be connected through the bottom sealing plates of the high-voltage and low-voltage compartments.
D. Reliable earthing shall be provided after the product is installed in position. The two main earthing terminals on the channel steel of the substation base, the neutral point and enclosure of the transformer, the lower terminals of the surge arresters, etc., shall be earthed separately by the installation team.
All earthing connections shall share a common earthing arrangement with an earthing resistance of less than 4 Ω. At least two earthing conductors shall be led from the earthing grid to the product.
E. After installation or maintenance and before commissioning, the product shall undergo the following inspections and tests:
(1) Cleanliness inside the substation.
(2) Flexibility of operating mechanisms.
(3) Flexible and reliable switching operation of main electrical apparatus.
(4) Reliable and accurate make-and-break of auxiliary contacts of electrical apparatus.
(5) Accurate operation of meters and relays.
(6) Correct transformation ratio and wiring polarity of meters and instrument transformers.
(7) All mounting nuts of electrical apparatus are tightened, and installation is firm and reliable.
(8) Good connection of busbars, and reliable installation of supporting insulators and clamps.
(9) Setting values of electrical apparatus meet the requirements, and specifications of fuse links are correct.
(10) Connections of main and auxiliary circuits conform to the requirements of the electrical schematic diagram.
Maintenance:
(1) All components in the product shall be maintained in accordance with their respective technical requirements.
(2) If an oil-immersed transformer is used, an oil sample analysis and inspection shall be carried out at least once a year as required.
(3) After the high-voltage switchgear in operation has performed 20 load switching operations or 2000 no-load switching operations,
the condition of the contacts and the wear of the arc extinguishing device shall be inspected. Any abnormality shall be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
(4) After the low-voltage switchgear trips automatically, the cause of tripping shall be investigated and analyzed. Operation may be resumed only after the fault is eliminated.
(5) Preventive tests on surge arresters shall be conducted once a year before the thunderstorm season.
The product is supplied with a packing list, certificate of conformity, installation and operation manual, electrical wiring diagram, manuals for main components and equipment adopted in the product, operating keys and tools, as well as spare parts provided in accordance with the agreement.
